Tony DuShane writes articles and essays for print and online media outlets. His short fiction and poetry has been featured in numerous anthologies and publications. Since 2001 he has hosted the radio show Drinks with Tony which features interviews with writers, musicians, directors and actors. Among the guests are Nick Cave, Steve Buscemi, Edward Furlong, James Ellroy, Irvine Welsh, Chuck Palahniuk, Amy Sedaris, Kevin Smith, Miranda July, Parker Posey and more. The show currently broadcasts every Thursday afternoon on Pirate Cat Radio. In 2000 he started the literary 'zine Cherry Bleeds that continues to be published monthly. From 2000 - 2003 he directed the Filmjunkie Film Festival and has worked on other film projects doing sound, camera and writing. In 2003 he participated in Big [B]other, an international literary installation exhibit at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, curated by media activist Fran Ilich. Tony is a San Francisco native and currently lives in the Bernal Heights neighborhood. His wife is a makeup artist. His shoe size is 11, his liver is strong and he's free of STDs.
